April miserable weather

The ponies have been turned out all day and night for a week now. I've been feeling a little guilty as the weather has been particularly harsh for this time of year, temperatures dropping to 1 degree over night and intermittent hail, snow and rain showers, oh and also gale force winds. Being on very restricted grazing, they are being supplemented with soaked hay in the morning and evenings and I bring them in at night to their stable for some hay and to have a little feed. For all they want to come in at night to have their dinner, after about half an hour they are showing signs of wanting to go back out again. I read an intersting article on the stabling of horses which gave me a great deal to think about and I will post in greater detail about this later. The weather doesn't seem to bother Honey at all, Buttons doesn't like being wet and he doesn't like muddy ground. They have natural shelter in the field, but I hate it when the fields get so waterlogged and muddy with all the rain.
There's a ewe who has came through the fence from one of the neighboring farms. She is very interested in the ponies.
